9H00: Departure from Abidjan to Grand-Bassam, the historic, royal city as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once the nation’s capital, this French-colonial town is a major attraction featuring beautiful old buildings, a National Museum of Costume, and a Ceramic Centre where you can view intricate porcelain plates and ceramic products.
Grand-Bassam was the first Capital of Cöte d’Ivoire and still remains a pole of attraction. The first trading houses were built there.
Nowadays, Grand-Bassam is a small city where colonial houses almost in ruins give it a stamp particular with their columns and arches.
09h30: Arrival in Grand-Bassam and start the visit of the Costum Museum located in a historic building built in 1893 and used as the Governor’s Palace until the transfer to the Capital to Bingerville.
10h30: Visit of the Handicrafts Center the artisanal center of the city
11h00: Visit of the ceramique center and the souvenir market
11h30: Continuation to Assinie, paradise of Cote d’Ivoire for its beaches of soft sands and its lagoon.
12h30: Lunch at African Queen Lodge
14h30: Visit of Crocodile Dipi
16h00: Return to Abidjan
